The Ghent Playhouse presents Mothers and Sons – a timely and touching new play about change, reconciliation and becoming a family.
Mothers and Sons’ regional premier opens on Friday, March 17 and runs through Sunday, April 2 with performances Fridays and Saturdays at 8 p.m. and Sunday afternoons at 2 p.m.
“Words are the bridge we build across the void that separates us.”
A Dallas matriarch pays an unexpected visit to her late son’s former partner, who is now married to another man and raising a young son. Forced to consider the life her son may have had, the woman must now come to terms with her own life choices and how society has changed around her.
Written by award-winning playwright of “Love! Valor! Compassion!”, Terrence McNally, this was a 2014 Tony Award Nominee for Best New Play. The Ghent Playhouse production is directed by Cathy Lee-Visscher, who is also designing the set.
Tickets are $20 each, $17 for Members of the Playhouse and $10 for Students with ID. Tickets may be reserved by calling 1-800-838-3006 or going to the website at www.ghentplayhouse.org.
