A hypochondriac takes the stage at the Ghent Playhouse May 20

 

The Ghent Playhouse presents its final production of the season, Moliere’s “The Imaginary Invalid."  This is a new adaptation written and directed by Barbara Leavell Smith.  The play will open on Friday, May 20, 2016 and run through Sunday, June 5, 2016 with performances Fridays and Saturdays at 8 p.m. and Sunday afternoons at 2 p.m.

 

This is the classic tale of the ultimate hypochondriac.  When an imaginary invalid, endlessly flooded by doctors and pharmacy bills, thinks he has found the cure for all his aches and pains, the results bring both chaos and hilarity.

 

Since laughter has been touted as the best medicine, this production is sure to be good for what ails you!  Reserve your tickets early!
